I build Bite, a referee for AI coding agents. It checks whether βdoneβ really means done. The code is public, and bite --free runs without a key. It also runs as a free check on every pull request (GitHub Marketplace).
- π§ west (Zephyr's command-line tool): loading a manifest with a reserved project name crashed. My fix was approved by two maintainers and merged (#1013).
- π‘ midea-lan: a message encoder got the frame length wrong when no padding was needed. Fix merged (#251); the owner thanked me "for finding and fixing the 8370 framing bug".
- π mizani (number labels for plotnine charts): labels picked too few decimals when values were close together, so
10and10.5both showed as10. Fix merged (#90). - π° pamqp (RabbitMQ's Python protocol library): Bite found three past fixes that no test would notice breaking, including one where "don't requeue" got flipped back to "requeue". I added the missing tests, and the maintainer merged them (#86).
- π prosemirror-py: a commit said a memory leak was fixed. Bite caught that it wasn't. I reported it (#335) and sent a fix (#336), which is waiting on review.
- π§ pyclibrary: 9 PRs merged (#93β#101), the newest fixing an enum bug from 2021 (#58). The owner called them "small and focused".
- π¨ django-tailwind-cli: fixed the watcher's output (#232). Merged and shipped in 4.8.2.
- π text-to-cad: its Python 3.11 check missed a line that breaks on real 3.11. Fixed (#708). Merged and shipped in 0.8.2.
- β srptools: all 4 bugs in my report (#13) fixed by the maintainer the same day.
Open now: 15 PRs waiting on review, including llm #1828, modeltranslation #831 and #832. Reported, no reply yet: ChatSBOM #217.
