Keep database and hosting guidance in the platform skill synced by prisma init. Preserve existing providers, explain standalone temporary databases, and document Composer deployment prerequisites. Typecheck, lint, CLI tests, skill packaging, and init e2e pass. The full serialized suite has one timeout in the unchanged CLI-engine consent re-prompt test; the same timeout reproduces in isolation.

The skill offered two ways to make a standalone database without saying which to pick. It now says create-db is for users with no Prisma account or project yet, and that a platform project creates its database with the postgres group or declares it in the module. The pinned create-db version would have shipped unchanged in every prisma release; the skill now runs create-db@latest. The init section of the command principles keeps only the rule: init does not suggest products in its output or provision resources. The platform skill copied by
prisma initexplains when to use a temporary standalone database and what a Composer app needs before deploying to Prisma Compute.npx create-db@latestwhen the user has no Prisma account or project yet. Explain its 24-hour lifetime and the Prisma account required to claim it for free. Existing platform projects use thepostgresgroup or declare the database in their module. The maintainer chose
@latestso the guide follows newcreate-dbreleases. The product documentation records the boundary: database and hosting guidance belongs in the copied skill;initdoes not suggest products in its output or provision resources. Runtime behavior and skill installation settings are unchanged.Supersedes prisma/orm#30831.

Current head
3e580de471404d541c2e1c6f8f4431ad99c9468e, checked 2026-10-23:Earlier local verification, before the maintainer's final wording changes, passed typecheck, lint, 1,039 CLI tests, skill packaging, and 5 shipped-binary init e2e tests. A disposable project received the edited skill byte-for-byte in all four agent directories. The earlier full serialized suite had 2,336 passes, 1 skip, and an unchanged CLI-engine consent re-prompt test timing out locally. Current-head CI passes.
