Syncs flask-google-login with the maintenance update of Create a Flask Application With Google Login.

What changed and why:

  • requirements.txt: re-pinned to the article's updated dependencies (requests 2.34.2, Flask 3.1.3, oauthlib 4.0.0, pyOpenSSL 26.4.0, Flask-Login 0.6.3). The 2019 pins no longer install a working app on current Python (Flask 1.0.2 pulls in Jinja2 3.x and fails on import).
  • Pipfile: same pins (==), and Pipfile.lock regenerated with pipenv lock.
  • db.py: the header comment's flask.pocoo.org/docs/1.0 URL now points at the current Flask tutorial page, matching the article.

Maintenance card: https://trello.com/c/FEnwsmi2

How it was verified (Python 3.14.9, fresh venv on the new pins):

  • python app.py the first time printed "Initialized the database.", and the second run served over HTTPS with ssl_context="adhoc": GET / returned 200.
  • Flask test client with mocked Google endpoints: / 200, /login 302 to accounts.google.com, /login/callback logged the user in and redirected to /, /logout logged them out.
  • ruff@0.14.1 format --check and ruff@0.14.1 check pass.
