What this pull request does

Publishes the documentation of migrate-auth 0.1.1-alpha: the README, the User Guide and the Migration Documentation (Parts A, B and C), and the LICENSE file with the copyright notice "Copyright (c) 2026 Relativity ODA LLC". It replaces the repository's initial README.md with the tool's README.

What this version adds

  • Assesses C# repositories for Basic Authentication and proposes a migration to OAuth 2.0 (Client Credentials or Authorization Code), with a Markdown report and a JSON data file.
  • A configuration key with a value that is not valid no longer discards the rest of the configuration file: only that key is ignored, and a warning at start-up names it.
  • Detection catalog 1.6.0.

The full notes are in docs/public/user-guide/02-release-notes.md.

Binaries

Once this pull request is approved, we merge it and publish the release v0.1.1-alpha in the Releases tab of this repository, marked as a pre-release, with these assets:

  • migrate-auth-0.1.1-alpha-win-x64.exe
  • migrate-auth-0.1.1-alpha-linux-x64
  • migrate-auth-0.1.1-alpha-osx-x64
  • migrate-auth-0.1.1-alpha-osx-arm64
  • SHA256SUMS

The binaries are not signed. On macOS, a binary downloaded through a browser is blocked until it is allowed, and on Windows, SmartScreen may show a warning on first run. The User Guide explains how to run them.

Merge order

This is pull request 1 of 5, one per version. Each one is based on the previous version, so we merge them in order, each one after its approval: #1 (0.1.1-alpha), #2 (0.2.0-alpha), #3 (0.3.0-alpha), #4 (0.4.0-alpha), #5 (0.5.1-alpha).

How it was verified

  • The binaries are built from the source of the delivered 0.1.1-alpha build. The copyright notice is the only change.
  • The Windows x64 and Linux x64 binaries print migrate-auth 0.1.1-alpha with --version, complete a scan of an empty repository with exit code 0, and produce byte-identical reports to the delivered build on a reference repository.
  • The macOS Intel binary is checked the same way before the release is published. The macOS Apple silicon binary is built on an Intel Mac and is not run.
  • The documentation and the binaries were checked against our publication checklist before this pull request was opened.
